Deer Window and the garden

This is the last of the Art Impressions windows.  I forgot I'd made this one (I mailed it right away!).  It was as I was putting away my toys that I saw there were 5 of them, and remembered that I had posted only 4!  So, here is probably my favorite one - the Deer Window.  "He makes my feet like the feet of the deer and he sets me on high mountains".

I need to clear off this awful mess of a desk so the surface is available for me to create something!  I've also set aside some photos to have printed - so it's possible I might make a scrapbook layout soon!  LOL  it's way over due!

I've got gorgeous photos from our flower garden;
The poppies were amazing this year!
These Iris are favorites because the colors are maroon and gold - the school colors for both ASU and UMN-Gophers.
Columbine - so profuse!  And the white/purple bearded iris were also abundant this year.  It must have been just the perfect mixture of rain and sunshine!  Steve's garden blooms all summer long - one flower, then another, then a different type, then more, the Sedum is the last to bloom and it is Melissa's favorite.  I missed the Peony (Steve's) because the day they all opened, we were away and there was hail here that beat them all to the ground.  My own favorite?  Not sure. I love sunflowers, cone flowers, and daisies.  I have a beautiful Dahlia hanging outside the studio window (deep red!) that is a delight, too.  But those are annuals.  I'll have to see what I can find for a Perennial favorite.

I hope my friends in AZ are staying cool - and that everyone is happy and healthy!  Hugs!

Art Impressions - Peace Window

This image reminds me of a hundred places in the Brainerd area!  There are lots of beautiful spots where there is a little bench to rest and look at the lake. Ahhhh.  So peaceful!

The papers are all CTMH.  I used Fundamentals (this year and the year before, I believe) and even CTMH twine on this one!

Art Impressions stamp - Be Joyful

This sweet image (I just love kitties!) is also from Art Impressions.  I used CTMH papers and the base ribbon (the Sapphire and white one) with a silk purple ribbon from my stash.  These were colored with watercolor pencils (Derwent Inktense) and so fun to play with - although my results still look too "controlled" for watercoloring.  Practice, practice, practice!

I used CTMH Fundamentals paper again for the card base of this one - it's a gray woven pattern on one side and beige woven pattern on the other.  The ribbon is a silk from my stash.

I fell in love with a group of stamps from Art Impressions that I purchased from Simon Says Stamps.  This one, the Oh Sing Window, I colored differently from the example that comes with the stamp and I do love the result!  The dark pink tulips look so pretty!  The card base and design papers are all from CTMH.  The crochet flowers I found in my CTMH embellishments box and they are from years ago!  I added a little square center brad to each of them.  The inside of the card is black/white chevron design (flip side of that piece of cardstock) and so I added a White Daisy piece to write on.

We have a family birthday coming up - and since this young man is turning into quite the baseball player (summer sport - he plays ice hockey in the winter!) I made this card using the retired baseball elements.  This is all CTMH except the ribbon with the words SLUGGER.  I picked that up "somewhere" for my scrapbook stash!  I have so much ribbon, my husband tells people I have more ribbon than JoAnns.  How embarrassing - but it might be true.

I mentioned I love sunflowers?  I also love cone flowers, daisy, and "aster".  I'm not sure which this image represents, but I do love the flowers!  I colored them with the Zig Clean Color markers that my friend Karen Baker sent to me.  (I still can't believe she did that!).

The ends of the little sentiment tag were punched from a long scallop punch - doesn't that look cool?!

Cool breezes, partly sunny, and the lilacs are in full bloom!  I'll have to grab some photos today, before they are gone!  I can hear a chickadee calling from somewhere in the neighborhood - "teacher, teacher".
Hugs!!
