I made two versions of this card the other night - I needed a sympathy card for one friend, and a soft, sweet card to send as a thinking of you for another just home from major surgery. This design came together fast - but looks like it took much longer! My kind of card! You can't tell from the photo, but the front 4 x 5 1/4" piece is lifted off the card base with foam adhesive.The only stamping was the sentiment, and the papers used here are the new Dotty for You special from Close-to-My-Heart. What a pretty card, Sharli. You're right, it looks like it took a long time to pull together. Love the softness of the design. Great job! Hope your friend recovers quickly from surgery and the other recipient gets comfort from your thoughtfulness.
This card is stunning, Sharli! So soft and elegant --the beautiful papers, the scallops, the laced trim, and the lovely flower-- I'm sure it will bring comfort and encouragement to those you send them to.
