I couldn't resist posting this one - my friend Sheri (one of the Ya-Ya Scrapbooking Sisterhood) took this shot. I love how it captures the size of these trees! I was setting my camera to take a photo of the hollow insides of this fallen giant. The shadows in the forest are so pretty, too (Jane) and I just wish I could have stayed there forever!
I've been crafting - I'll post some photos when I get back from church later today.
From my point of view, that would not be where I would have stood. I would have been afraid the tree would slide down the hill and scoop me up on its way. Jane is right Ginormous says it all. I want to see more, you know I am living my dream of seeing the giant redwoods through you. grins
Wow, Sharli, what a great shot! You'll have to scrapbook this photo as part of your travel album. :) I can't wait to see the shot that YOU got of the hollow trunk--and your Shadow Shots too. I'm catching up slowly here...Shadow Shot Jane
My banner photo is from the Chihuly glass exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, AZ. My daughter and I visited there on her trip home February 2009 and took some beautiful photographs. We both loved this boat load of glass!
I'm a child of God, a wife, mom, friend, scrapbooker and stamper. In addition to my beloved husband, I love yoga, Bilbo (my cat), playing in my studio, and puttering in the garden. I am looking forward to spending time with grandchildren!

I think the title 'Big Trees' is a bit of an understatement - those trees are ginormous (is that a word?) Very impressive xx
