"Family"

Family to me, and family for each other. This is a photo of my 3 cats. Fuzzy was the Mom - she adopted me when she was just a kitten herself (already pregnant - a wild child!) and her kittens were born behind the couch. Dozer and Darling were siblings - very close to each other although just like real siblings, they did know how to fight! I lost Fuzzy about a year ago - I lost Dozer and Darling yesterday. They were 18 years old and we had a wonderful life together!

This is a photo of how the they would love to take over the scrap room! Naturally, they're sitting in MY chair! The other two chairs placed in the room just for them were not adequate.

Oh Sharli, I'm sorry about the loss of your cats. I've had one pet. a Springer Spaniel, for its entire lifetime, and it was so hard to say good-bye. I've also had one special cat, orphaned before his eyes were open, whose death was a tragedy. And his mother, too, was a "wild child" who adopted us and tried to have her first litter of kittens "on" my couch - before I quickly relocated her. Anyway, even though your kitties lived a long time, you're going to miss them, and I feel for you. From the photo, it appears that they were a good-looking lot, deserving, of course, of the most prominent chair in the room! Take care, friend!

What darlings. They are all so gorgeous. I'm so sorry about your recent loss. To lose both Darling and Dozer on the same day. I'm so sad for you.

Blessings for comfort and peace.

I'm so sorry too. I got tears in my eyes as I read your post. It's hard to lose pets. My thoughts are with you.

On another note, thank you for taking the time to post a comment on my blog this morning. That was very sweet!

Oh my goodness, Sharli! I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It's so hard, I'm sure. They look wonderful in this picture. You should frame it and set it on your scrap desk.

Makes me apprehensive for the time I know is coming with our kitty, Sarah, who's got to be about 19 now (I know!). Hugs to you, my friend!

Sharli, I'm SO sorry to read about your Dozer and Darling. What a long life they had together with you! Pets are definitely family members. Will you be getting another "furson" in your life?

Thanks for your comments on my blog! BTW, your green blog background is just a tad lighter than the new color of our kitchen--so serene.

Happy new week! I have a CTMH workshop in one hour! Wish me a scrappy happy group. :D

Sharli, I'm so sorry to hear about your kitties. What a wonderful 18 years they must have had with you! I hope you're doing ok. I can hardly stand the thought of ever losing our precious kitty, but maybe she'll live to 18 as well and we'll have a few good years left!

Oh, I'm so sorry Sharli! I was scrolling down looking at your posts and saw you pretty white kitties and then when I read that they are no longer here it brought tears to my eyes! To lose all three so close together - what an empty space there must be in your house and heart right now - but I'm sure you have just the best memories of them all.... I'll be keeping you in my prayers at this time of loss for you!
